Julia is a licensed psychotherapist and the owner of Emerald Integrative Therapy. "I have a sincere passion for working with others to meet them where they currently are to find opportunity to grow and enjoy life most fully. I offer a warm, unbiased, compassionate and comfortable approach for clients to feel seen and understood. Starting with developing a healthy therapeutic relationship is the stepping stone to begin the work together to make the needed changes for a happier, healthier and more joyous life.
I have worked in a variety of settings including community health in Milwaukee County, domestic violence / SA shelter, and outpatient clinical settings for a wide array of experience.
Going through my own healing and growth journey has opened my heart to the incredible world of personal growth. Being able to offer the supportive stepping stone one needs to find the insight, tools and hope to create change is what I find to be so enjoyable about the work I do.
I believe in caring for our mental, physical and spiritual bodies as a whole which I am able to bring into sessions by offering a variety of different therapeutic modalities that I can help clients explore based on their own needs and preferences.
While I the love the work I do, I value my time engaging in the same healthy self care that I encourage my clients to practice. I enjoy spending time outdoors year-round (winter walks, kayaking, swimming at the beach are a couple favorites), practicing yoga, doing a good workout, finding new recipes, listening to live music, and being with my family (husband, 5.5 year old and our dog) & loved ones are just a few."
